Between Two and normal were two collaborations by Ioanida Costache (violin), Florentina Mocanu (movement) Camelia Skikos (costume design), and later Kat Mustatea (text) for normal.
Between Two is an audio-visual installation that documents a performance in movement and sound by Ioanida Costache and Florentina Mocanu with costume design by Camelia Skikos. The piece experiments with the etymology of the word “between” as ‘being two.’ The performers converse, express, and perform across two different mediums, movement and sound, and across two bodies, at times dissonating, responding, doubling in a conversation between sound and motion that plays on the liminality of subjective experience. A second instatiation of the collaboration features a text called normal by Kat Mustatea.
